Noémi Raymond (1889–1980), active in Japan for over 40 years, is known for her furniture and textile designs.
While supporting her architect husband Antonin Raymond in his work, she developed an original style that fused Western design elements with traditional Japanese aesthetics.
This exhibition also focuses on the design methods Noémi employed in residential architecture, which until now have not received much attention, and examines her influence on Japanese architectural design of the time.
